Wonder project

 Kia ora

This term the seniors at Hay Park have been learning about rockets and physics. We learnt a lot  about the forces that make the rocket launch/fly. We talked a lot about the parts of a rocket and the important ones, when we were done we got to make paper air planes and we found out how to improve it.  We used air and water to launch the rocket so we learnt about how many water you should put in, if we put in too much the rocket will be too heavy, our air limit was 60 psi because if it went over it would be very dangerous. We also learnt about how to keep yourself and others safe, some of them were:

Keep the rocket at a angle when you are about to launch it.

A supervisor must be watching you.

There were many more ways to keep others and yourself safe . My favourite part of the project was creating the rocket and modifying it but before we created it we planned  all the parts. It was fun because we were being creative and we did it with teamwork.

Something that was challenging was when we had to measure our fins to make sure they were the same size. some of the fins I made wasn't the same size and I had to make it again.

I wish I could do this again but I would want give other seniors a opportunity and I hope they have fun
