Olympics Fan Zone Trip

 Hi bloggers!

Today my class and I went to the Olympics fan zone for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. We had so much fun and we enjoyed it, when we entered the building we went then we met one of the Olympians that competed in the Olympics in 2007/2008 for New Zealand in Triathlon. Her name was Debbie Tanner, we asked her some questions and some of them were really interesting.

Debbie Tanner said she didn't expect to compete in Triathlon but she said she really loved the sport because it was made of 3 other sports, it was swimming, running, and cycling. Her favourite one was running because when she ran she would run through forests, beaches and many other places.

After we got to get free time with the games in the building. one of my favourite games was playing on the basketball machine. after we went to the other side of the building then we had more fun there. We had challenges relay races and many more.

At the end we watched the men's rowing game, The best thing was that NEW ZEALAND CAME SECOND!!  I didn't believe it because the beginning was pretty sketchy. After that we came back to school.

Something I enjoyed was playing on the basketball machine because it was fun and my buddy was surprised when we got to stage 2 of the game.

Something I learnt at the Olympic fan zone was that it is very hard to be an Olympian because you have to stay healthy and fit for the game and you will have to stay on a balanced diet.

Here are some pictures of when we were on the trip.

  1. Malo e lelei Pita!

I really like how you took the time to structure your text in paragraphs, well done!

Triathlon sounds like a very physical competition! Did you know that there is also trials for Pentathlon (5 sports) and Decathlon (10 sports!!!!). I don't know exactly which sports are included in each one but it would be very interesting to get to know more about it! Don't you think?

If you could choose, at which sport would you like to compete?

    See you soon!

    Miss Mathilde
